Meet Luna, this darling girl is a Staffordshire/bulldog mix of about 4 months of age as of Aug. She came to us with her sisters, found roaming an orchard she was captured with them and brought in. Due to their past feral life they are a bit timid and still learning that humans are not so scary. Luna will come up to take a treat but otherwise does not like to be touched currently, her foster mom is slowly working with her on this. We feel she would come around faster without her sisters as she seems to lean on them a bit too much allowing them to explore while watching from a distance. She is still very timid and easily startled so a soft hand and understand family is a must with her. She would do fine with other dogs; we are unsure how she would be with felines or younger children. But older children would help her learn to come out of her shell we think. She will need some TLC and an owner that understand that she should not be rushed. She is not the type to come out instantly and start loving on a new family so adopters should not expect this. Her adoption fee is 150.00 and includes spay, microchip, month of pet insurance, up to date on shots up to adoption, free session with our trainer and a well visit with our vet within 72hrs of adoption. If you are interested in possibly giving this darling pup its forever home please download the adoption application found @ katesrescue.org as a word document and email the completed version to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Luna” as the header.
