Pooh is one of a family of dogs that was rescued by one of our foster homes from an elderly woman whose kids were using her home to sell drugs. Despite their auspicious beginnings, Pooh and his family are very sweet, good dogs-it is a true testament that most canines can live in the moment and over come most anything with a little TLC. Pooh weighs around 50-60 pounds. Pooh is a sweetheart but a little weary of men at first (he adores all women)-he warms up to men in time, they just have to be a little patient with him and earn his trust. Pooh is wonderful with other dogs and he likes children (he is untested with cats). He also loves to play fetch and will retrieve toys as often as you want to throw them to him-guess that is the lab in him! He is neutered, current on shots and on heartworm prevention. You may obtain an adoption application at our website at www.myhstc.org or you may email us for more information. He is an older dog now but would still make a good pet; he is 8-9 years young! Please email Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
