Roo is a pure bred, red american pit bull terrier whose story started off sad but has a happy ending. Roo was brought in by his former "owner" to a vet's office to be put to sleep as his "owner" allowed him to run loose and he was run over by a car. One of his back legs was mangled so badly, it needed to be amputated but his "owner" did not wish to pay for that. One of our volunteers happened to be around the vet's office at that time and persuaded the man to surrender him to her instead which thankfully he did. Roo succeesfully underwent surgery to remove the back leg and has made a full recovery. We do not have listed as special needs because he moves around very normally with three legs. He is happy go lucky and just a sweet heart of a dog. He has a wonderful temperament and just loves to snuggle and receive attention. He is good with some dogs depending temperment (untested with cats) and likes kids. He is a good boy and deserves a wonderful home. He is neutered, current on shots, on heartworm prevention and crate trained. To download an adoption application, you may visit www.myhstc.org or email email@example.com.
