Becka's Story...
Becka is a very sweet dog. She was abandoned by her family when they moved and left her alone. She is between 1-2 years old and weighs 51 pounds. In spite of this, she is very, very friendly and loves attention. She walks well on a leash and is probably house trained because she doesn't like to go in her pen. She has a few scars from old tick/flea bites but these should heal with good care and nutrition. She also does well with other dogs and cats. If you would like to meet her, please call our shelter at 870-269-5200 in Mountain View, Arkansas. You can also go on-line and complete an adoption application at schspets.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Becka, a Mountain View Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mountain View, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mountain View.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain View already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain View breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain View paves the way for another one to be saved.
