Apple's Story...
Apple is a 6 month old female American short haired guinea pig. She was surrendered because her elderly owner had a medical emergency and could no longer care for her. She was purchased at a pet store as a "male". Unfortunately, she was housed with another male in the same cage. Apple's pregnancy watch ended Nov 9th 2016. She absolutely loves apples! She is also trying out oranges, green leaf, romaine, cucumbers, carrots, green peppers, spinach, and parsley. She is lovable, she likes hanging out under a hut. The cage Apple was surrendered in is TOO small. If we can find a cage before her adoption, we would be happy to include it with her adoption. The rescue can provide a hut, water bottle and food dish.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apple, a Harleysville Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Harleysville, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Harleysville.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harleysville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harleysville paves the way for another one to be saved.
