Charlie's Story...
Meet Charlie!

This poor older guy has clearly been neglected for a long time. Charlie was picked up as a stray covered in fleas, missing fur and horrible dental disease. Charlie has since been neutered, had his teeth clean and is flea free!! This cute little mini doxie is as sweet as they come! He is currently in a foster home and is doing well. He does well with other dogs and would prefer to have another dog to snuggle with! In typical dachshund fashion he loves to burrow under blankets! Charlie is working on housebreaking and crate training. Charlie is about 9yrs old and weighs 9lbs. He is current on vaccines, recently had a dental and is microchipped.

Adoption fee is $175.00. Adoption application & home visit required. Must live within 30 miles of Cleveland. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in Charlie. http://muttsinarutrescue.wix.com/miar#!adoptables/c6mv

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Cleveland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Cleveland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Cleveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cleveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cleveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cleveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
