Bobby's Story...
Wow, another gorgeous young pup for adoption! The product of an accidental litter born on May 7, 2016, Bobby’s mix is unknown, although he likely comes from several generations of mixed breed dogs. His mother is about 40 pounds, was thought to have some Pug in her, and his father is unknown. All the puppies looked different, making an educated guess as to the breed mix that much more difficult, although Bobby looked the most like their mother. Bobby weighed it at 20 pounds at the vet, and will probably grow to be around 50 or 60 pounds. He is doing well at his foster home, and has been learning to ask for the door when he needs to go outside. He is an affectionate little guy who enjoys being near his foster dad. Bobby is a bit timid, but will grow out of this as he gains more confidence following the sudden separation from his mother and littermates. Puppies are a lot of work, so please be prepared to invest lots of time before considering adding one to your home. Please visit our website to complete an adoption questionnaire if your future includes a new four-legged family member for life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bobby, a Rigaud Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Collie for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
