Meet the BF Gang!

Nigel is a 7 month old (born End of May, 2016) Male Black Kitten. He’s house trained, up to date on vaccinations and is neutered.

Nigel is one of a large gang rescued from Burks Falls. These kittens would have had a tough life if left to fend on their own but luckily for them a lovely lady reached out to MAR to give them a better life where they will be safe and know what it feels like to be loved.

Nigel likes to be around people, he enjoys sitting in your lap and will purr up a storm! He enjoys playing with his fellow foster cats. He’s an inquisitive boy who loves treats and will come running for them!
*Though our volunteers try their best, we cannot guarantee that any rescued animal will be a perfect match for each resident, child, or resident pet in every foster/forever home.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nigel - Adopted January 2017, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
