This darling little dachshund is Gibbs, a 6 year old boy that has had a rough time of it but is looking forward to a happy future in a wonderful new home. When his owner was discovered deceased in their home, poor little Gibbs was found hiding out in the bedroom. We can only imagine the heartbreak that Gibbs felt at the loss of his owner but this little sweetheart put on a very brave face and began putting his past behind him the moment he walked through our doors. Gibbs has a couple of obvious issues- his weight being the first one. He has been getting lots of exercise and is on a good diet and Gibbs will be all slimmed down in no time! He also has a skin condition, likely due to poor nutrition. His hair is quickly growing back with supplements and medicated baths and is already looking so much better. Other than that, Gibbs is healthy, happy, and ready to meet you. He is an outgoing little guy that makes friends easily. He is very polite and will sit nicely when asked and walks perfectly on a leash. He enjoys playing and will pick up a soft toy and trot around, squeaking it happily and he wags his tail. Gibbs is just fine with other dogs and never met anyone he didn't like. He will fit in perfectly with any good family that will give him all of the love and good care that he deserves.
