Jeff is a big handsome guy who is content to just hang-around with his caretakers and calm dog friends. He was rescued by a Humane Society, but just could not deal well with the kennel environment; he became difficult for staff to deal with. So, he has moved to home boarding where he is crated and rotated out with the other boarders for regular exercise and socialization. He has been a well-balanced boy since the change in scenery.

Jeff is looking for a the patient, dog-savvy type -- willing to be patient and kind of ignore him at first. He will let you know when he is starting to trust and feels ready to be the carefree dog that we know he can be. He gets along with and enjoys the company of other dogs; he would benefit from a well-balanced, social dog companion.

He is currently boarding with a trainer who will help his new caretaker(s) transition this fella into a new home. We've seen socialization training work very well for dogs like Jeff and see him as a young fella, destined to blossom with the special person who takes him underwing.

Age: 2-3 y/o

Weight:70 plus

Temperament: Gets along with dogs, but not cats; adult-home only

Training: Housetrained and crate-trained

Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm treatment underway

About Doggie Harmony

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is an approved non-profit (501c3) organization, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you would like donate, you may direct funds to our address below, or to our PayPal account at donate@doggieharmony.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, so watch our website for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested is, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in our adoptable pets are asked to complete an application that will allow us to assess whether a particular pet is good fit for their household and lifestyle. If it is, we will then bring the pet to their home for a meeting. If all goes well, the adoption contract is initiated and a fee is collected, but held for two weeks to ensure the adoption is a success. Our fees vary depending on each pet and what has been invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.
