Roscoe is a sweet little beagle mix , about a year old and weighing 33 lbs. He could be a beagle foxhound mix. Roscoe does well with other dogs and might like another dog for companionship. He can be shy at first around new people but he warms up quickly and seems to enjoy engaging with people he knows. Arriving in Massachusetts Sept 10.
Coonhounds make wonderful pets. They are very sociable and affectionate and get along well with families and with other dogs. Outside of New England, coonhounds are mostly used for hunting and are often discarded and undervalued if they turn out to be poor trackers or are not needed anymore. Our mission is to educate people about the suitability of coonhounds as pets; to provide support to coonhound owners; and to re home as many coonhounds as possible .
Come Meet Our Pets...
We often have booths at charity dog walks, and have several adoption events at retail pet stores throughout the year. Watch our website for details.
Our Adoption Process...
There is an Adoption Application page on our website which outlines the adoption process and provides information on fees.
