Cooper's Info...

Cooper's Story...
I’m smart. My last owners claimed I have learned basic cattle herding commands though I couldn’t prove it here at the shelter. One thing is for sure, I hate to be on a leash. I’m ok around other dogs but if I don’t have a job to do or something to chew I get antsy. I would love to help you with whatever you work in!

All dogs adopted from the Animal Care and Adoption Center Texarakana, Arkansas must be spayed or neutered. Spay costs are $99-126 and neuter costs are $89-107 depending on the weight of the dog. All dogs must be vaccinated for rabies and receive a microchip. However, Cooper's owners have sponsored his vetting in hopes he will be going to a good home quicker. His adoption fee has been dramatically reduced. Please call the shelter for more information!

Act quickly to adopt Cooper. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Texarkana Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Texarkana, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Texarkana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Texarkana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Texarkana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Texarkana paves the way for another one to be saved.
