Emaluna is participating in the New Leash On Life program at the women's prison in Raleigh. The pups will break out for the day on Oct. 15th for our event in Raleigh and on Nov. 12th in Durham. We are accepting applications, and will be screening applicants, in hopes of having adopters attend graduation on Nov. 18th.
Emaluna is a 7-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is quickly warming up to life outside of the shelter. She can be a little wary of new folks at first but before you know it will sneak into your lap! Her goofy personality is starting to shine through, and she's most recently been fascinated with looking at herself in the mirror - perhaps she finds her different-colored eyes as beautiful as we do! She enjoys walks and being on 'squirrel patrol,' likes the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with another low-key canine.
