Hi, my name is Tess. I am a Hound Mix, (maybe Dachshund as well), Female, who was born 3/29/16, and am currently 31. I am originally from Hope, Arkansas and I was very lucky as I survived Parvovirus. I could not wait to come up to Minnesota with all those lakes to romp in and birds to chase! I am a typical puppy, who is potty training and being crate trained. I am doing better in the crate but tend to bark and howl at times. I'm not fond of being kenneled at night and was working on letting my mom know when I had to go outside. I now sleep with my other foster brothers and sisters on the bed. As long as I have my chew toys, I am a happy pup. I am able to sleep for about 3-4 hours before I need to go outside. I can be a bit shy at first but when I feel comfortable I’m confident, playful and stubborn at times. I’m your typical hound who enjoys sniffing out my surroundings along with squirrels. I enjoy running in circles in the backyard while my foster mom chases me. My foster mom is teaching me the basic commands (sit, stay, no jumping and boundaries) I tend to pull on the leash but that’s because I am eager to explore the neighborhood. I am good with other playful dogs. Since I am so young, I get along with kids and I love people in general. It can be exhausting being so happy. I run around, jump, wrestle, go for walks, nap and play again. I do enjoy my naps on the couch where we can snuggle while we watch Animal Planet. When full grown, I will probably be an approximately 35-40 pound, medium energy level dog. I tend to get distracted easily so we may need to keep working on my recall and attention . My favorite things to do are play with my foster brother & sister, tug a rope, chew doggie toys and have you scratch behind my ears. I do great on car rides but tend to jump in the front the seat and be co-pilot. I’m the perfect dog for your family. Are you my forever home?
