Maverick's Story...
Say hello to Maverick!

Maverick came to us as a puppy, was adopted and then sadly returned due to him growing "too large". We can't imagine how anyone returned this boy - he is amazing!!! He is completely crate- and house-trained, walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. He is happy and loving, looking for his forever home. He does enjoy playing with other dogs, especially females.

Maverick is about 70lbs, almost 3 years old, has been neutered, fully vaccinated and is current on heartworm/flea/tick preventative.

Please contact us at Thefortrescue@gmail.com if you are interested in Maverick!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Asheboro Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Asheboro, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Asheboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
