Hemi's Story...
Meet Hemi!!

He was rescued from the Wilcox Animal Shelter where he was going to have to be put down for kennel space. He was infested with ticks & knew absolutely nothing- we joke that he is a puppy school drop out :)

He has been with us for a couple weeks now. His foster is actually a dog trainer! So he is learning all his manners including the place command, to wait for his food, walk well on a leash, heel & down. He's doing AWESOME!!

We think Hemi is about 5-6 months old. HIs baby teeth are still falling out :) He's a lovable, big goofy doofus! Your standard lab puppy!! He's about 45 lbs now. I'd expect him to reach 50-60 lbs.

He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & also tick fever tested which was negative. Let us know if interested in meeting this handsome dude!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hemi, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
