BIG FAN OF: Playing. Hanging toys and ones he can chase are his favorite.
NOT A FAN OF: Loud noises and fast movements. A home with busy children who will want to cuddle and hug him all day long will not be a good fit for him. He's also not too comfortable being picked up right now.
SPECIAL FEATURES: Simon may be pretty reserved at first, but once he settles in he's very curious and playful. He can be very affectionate, too, and loves to cuddle and love on you. One of his favorite things is to sit in front of an open window or screen door and feel the breeze from the outside. He adores the fresh air. He has been doing very well with his foster family's cat. They often zoom around and play all evening.
OTHER REASONS HE'S SPECIAL: He's a chatty guy! As soon as his foster mom's alarm goes off in the morning, he starts chirping away until he's fed. He loves to have conversations, especially when he wants to play.
DREAM HOME: A calm, relaxed place with people who will give him time to settle in. Patience is key with this little guy -- and he is worth it! He is a big lover with a huge heart.
This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway program -- a program designed to give cats a vacation from the shelter and let them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. While vacation is fun, there really is no place like home, so please consider adopting one of these deserving cats! As part of this program, their adoption fee is just $50 each (or $75 for a pair)! To learn more about this cat or schedule a time to meet it, please contact Carol at email@example.com or Betsy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
