Smidgen's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Smidgen's Story...
Smidgen is approximately 1 year old and came to us in August as a stray. Smidgen is a sweet girl but shy here in the shelter. Smidgen did spend some time in a foster home, where she was reported to greet her person at the door every day and is very good about using her scratchers! Smidgen is an affectionate girl once she gets to know you, and loves to lay down pressed up against you. If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate cat and have the patience to let her get to know and love you, then come in to meet Smidgen!

Smidgen is considered special needs because she has Feline Leukemia. This means Smidgen needs to be an only cat or go home with another feline leukemia cat. MRFRS will help cover veterinary costs associated with leukemia through our Care for Life program.

To meet Smidgen and learn more, come in to meet her and we can talk!

Smidgen is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smidgen, a Salisbury Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Salisbury, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Salisbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salisbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salisbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salisbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
