Hi. My name is Kenji and this is my story. I ended up in a high kill shelter here in Georgia. My owners dumped me there. I don't know why they left me there. I was clearly very pregnant and due to give birth soon. I am estimated to be 1-2 yrs of age and weigh 19 lbs. It looks like I am a toy fox terrier. Well, I stayed in that shelter for a bit, hoping and praying for someone to get me out of there. Then the holiday weekend (Labor Day) came and I knew my chances were slim. My body could hold out no longer and I gave birth right before the holiday weekend. I gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies on the evening of August 31, 2016. The shelter was so very crowded that the only private place for me to give birth was the euthanasia room. So there I was giving birth in a place where so many dogs had lost their lives. A miracle happened and I was rescued with my puppies a few days after they were born. Sadly, two of my babies had already passed away by that time. My four remaining puppies are all doing well now that I am in a loving Foster home.
I am very sweet and affectionate. It appears that I am house trained as I have not had one accident since coming to my Foster home. I have not met the dogs in the home yet as I am busy tending to my young puppies. I have met the children in the home and I am perfectly fine with them.
I am available for adoption and hope that someone finds me worthy. I really am a good dog and a great mommy.
