About Me:  My name is Darwin and I'm the happiest pup ever. I'm full-grown and house trained, love everything and everyone, and have the energy to play all day!  Although I definitely play more than I sleep, I do enjoy a good nap now and again, but only after I've had plenty of time with my toys and brothers or sisters. I really like other dogs and all people, including children, and play well with anyone. As soon as I know they want to play, though, I'm all in. I like to play chase-me and run around the yard or dog park. Hope you like seeing me run in circles - I enjoy to chase my own tail! I think kids are great, especially the ones that will run, jump, and play with me. I enjoy being held and cuddled when I'm tired, but if there is something exciting going on, I'd prefer to be in on the action. I can't to miss out on anything fun, you know!

I am very well potty trained, and do not have accidents inside the house anymore. I used to live in a high-rise apartment downtown, so got very good at holding my bladder! I learned quickly not to chew on furniture, but still get to chew on my toys whenever I want! I respond very well to my name, and know how to sit, shake, stay, and go into my kennel whenever I'm told. I'm crate trained and love to be inside my little home! I was found on the side of the road when I was younger, so I learned to be very food motivated - I will do anything for a treat and love to learn new tricks! I won't eat your food if it's on a plate or near you, but if it is sitting out I may try to "share" a bit! Sometimes it's hard for me to listen when I'm called because I enjoy being outside so much. When I'm walking, I want to explore everywhere and can't wait to get there - forgive me if I pull a bit or bite at my leash, but I'm getting better! I'm a very curious pup and I want to explore the world. Going for walks is another one of my favorite things to do. I get to see so many new and fun things on my walks.

My ideal home would be one with another dog and lots of humans to play with. My former dad says I'm super smart and would really like to go through puppy school and learn all sorts of new tricks. To keep my curious mind busy and fulfill my love of the outdoors, a big yard or lots of walks is a must!

About Twin Cities Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we arrange a meet and greet. Cats and small animals can be adopted and go home at the time of the meet and greet after the adoption agreement is complete and adoption fee collected (which is variable based on animal type, etc). For dogs, we complete home visits and then finalize the adoption.
