Wicket is a 15 pound, 5 year old Wire Hair Dachshund mix. We aren't sure what he is mixed with, but possibly Jack Russell Terrier. He has the short legs, long back as well as long ears. The ears are thinner and he has just enough energy and a bit of longer legs to be more agile and active that your typical Dachshund. He has the personality of a Dachshund and feels that he is very important!
Wicket does great with the dogs in his foster home. He seems to enjoy their company but would also do just fine as an only dog. He hasn't bonded to any dog in particular. Co exists really well.
He met the cat in his foster home and was non-reactive.
He has a very typical Dachshund personality (per his foster mom who grew up with Dachshunds), so if there are children in the home, they should be of at least 8 years of age and dog experienced.
