'Honey'--female/spayed--beagle/retriever mix--5 yrs old
Honey is a very nice dog that was found scraping road kill off a busy highway to survive. She was terrified of her rescuer and only approached when tempted with food. With a little time and lots of love, Honey has learned to trust humans and has become a very affectionate girl. Honey is a pretty low maintenance dog. She loves affection but is not super pushy about it. She is happy just to be in the same room with you, sitting at your feet or on a nearby dog bed. Honey gets along great with male dogs but is sometimes put off by other female dogs. She's fine with kitties and seems to enjoy their company. She would do best in a quiet or moderate activity home without small children. Honey is very obedient, housebroken and crate trained, walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. She would be the perfect dog for someone who wants a low-key companion.
âDog adoption fee is $200 ( includes spay or neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, deworming, microchip).
