Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Couga
Born 2013-male Cream Ticked Tabby DSH
Have you every wanted to own a Cougar because you love their look, but know a domestic cat is more practical? Ever wanted to own a dog because you can teach it tricks, but cats are way cooler to own? Well, meet Couga, the domestic cat that looks like a cougar and is as loyal as a dog. He is trim and sleek and looks like a wild animal, but, of course, is as tame and loving as can be. His name is Couga, short for Cougar; his coat is the buff color of a cougar, thus his nickname of Buffy. He is over-the-top for human attention. He is like a dog, loyal and loving to you 24/7. He could easily learn tricks because he is very treat-oriented. Yes, Couga is a lover, a very even-tempered boy, and loads of fun with his inquisitive personality. He sleeps with all 4 feet in the air and makes “biscuits” in mid air while he sleeps. He just relaxes in your arms, belly up! He enjoys humans talking to him, too. His favorite toys are his big IKEA white rat and his plastic ball with a bell….he hunts it down!
Couga was abandoned in the country to fend for himself. A co-worker of one of our board members found him on her property trying to catch mice to stay alive. He certainly didn't have the skills to live outside. He is currently residing in a vet office where he has had blood work, fecal test, urinalysis, FeLV and FIV tests. All were negative. He is vaccinated for FVRCP and Rabies and was wormed and treated for fleas. He has had the "works" and is a very healthy guy.
Couga is looking for an indoor, forever home. He would be OK with a gentle dog or cat, but he would also love to live as the single kitty with all the attention he deserves.
