Lizzie's Story...
Lizzie is an incredibly smart, eager-to-please, loving Labrador Retriever-Shepherd Mix. This 5-6 month old Yellow girl currently weighs in at about 35lbs. She knows basic commands, is housebroken and loves the company of other dogs. She is playful, but also just loves to cuddle next to you on the couch. She was found wandering around the Lizzie Creek area of Summerton, South Carolina and was full of fleas and skinny. We took her in, gave her a warm place to sleep at night, food for her belly and got her spayed and all her shots including rabies. She is also microchipped and has been on heartworm preventative. Lizzie would make a great family dog for just about any family. Is Loving Lizzie your new family member? Please fill out one of our application from our web site:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzie, a Shaw AFB Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Shaw AFB, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Shaw AFB.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shaw AFB already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shaw AFB breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shaw AFB paves the way for another one to be saved.
