My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cute little terrier mix is approx 2-3 years old and 14 lbs. Winchester is a sweet and lovable boy. He’s playful and curious. He loves to play fetch with soft toys. He’s very good with other friendly dogs his size. He loves belly rubs. He responds well to his name (as well as Win and Winnie). His cute little underbite makes him even more lovable. He wants love and attention. He is crate trained, but if he’s free-range in the home, he is mostly very quiet. He’s a very good sleeper and likes to be in the bed on cozy blankets. When we go on walks outside, he prances about and looks up from time to time as if to check in. He is a gentle soul that’s been through some trauma and could use lots of love and attention. He will bring so much love and joy to his forever home.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
