This cute little terrier mix is approx 3 years old and 14 lbs. Winchester is a sweet and lovable boy. He’s playful and curious. He loves to play fetch with soft toys. He’s very good with other friendly dogs. He loves belly rubs. He responds well to his name (as well as Win and Winnie). His cute little underbite makes him even more lovable. He’s a little skittish with men and larger dogs, but then warms up to them if they are friendly. He wants love and attention. If we put him in his crate and then leave, he’ll bark softly. But if he’s free-range in the home, he is mostly very quiet. He’s a very good sleeper and likes to be in the bed on cozy blankets. When we go on walks outside, he prances about and looks up from time to time as if to check in. He had a fractured jaw when we rescued him and was missing some teeth. The vet removed his damaged teeth, and he is all healed. He is a gentle soul that’s been through some trauma and could use lots of love and attention. He will bring so much love and joy to his forever home.

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
