My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Candy, did someone say candy? Who doesn’t love candy? Well, even if you don’t have a sweet tooth, you will love this candy kitten! Meet York Peppermint Patty…she has the right color pattern for her name…black on the outside, with white in the middle…in her case underneath. “Patty”, the only female in the litter, her 4 brothers and her mom were placed in a cardboard box and put out in the backyard of their owner who decided she couldn’t be bothered with them anymore…how sad is that? The babies were only 1 week old, when thankfully, a nice person got in touch with us and we happily brought the entire family into a nice safe foster home for the babies to grow up and be ready to find their forever homes! “Patty” is a very friendly, always looking for fun, kitten! She loves to run around with her brothers, chasing toys or having a little wrestling match! This candy assortment is non-stop entertainment. Pick your favorite treat…or two!

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Kittens really need a playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. “Patty’s” mom would also be a great match…she’d super sweet too! Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if a sibling or her mom are still available.

If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements.

You can meet York Peppermint Patty at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

York Peppermint Patty’s estimated date of birth is 6/23/16. Her adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.
