My name is Nicholas!

Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for adoption in North Haven, Connecticut - Nicholas

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Nicholas's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Nicholas's Story...
Nicholas came to our shelter from Gaston County Animal Control in North Carolina. Nicholas has done well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a mellow, quiet boy but would be best suited for a home with older children or adults. Chow or like breed experience would be great. Nick is about 7 years old and weighs about 70 lbs.

Nicholas is neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Lyme. He tested positive for heartworm prior to entering our shelter, but has been treated by our veterinarian and is current on heartworm prevention. Nicholas tested negative for tick borne diseases and is current on flea/tick prevention too. He is also microchipped with a lifetime registration.

To meet him, please visit our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org to complete an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicholas, a North Haven Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever for sale in North Haven, or seeking a Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in North Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
