My name is Oscar and I love to be around people. I love my head and belly rubbed. I spend most of my time sleeping on my favorite chair in the kitchen. Here I have a great view of the birds and goings on in the neighborhood. I am told I purr when I eat although I've never noticed it. I may be a little plump, but that's only because my owners loved me so much they gave me too many delicious treats I could not pass up. I am hoping my new owner(s) will help me slim down a little though as being chunky can be a bit tiresome. I am looking for a home that is dog free, fairly quiet as loud noises make me jump and I am not sure how I feel about other cats sharing my space but I may be willing to try it out.

Thus cat is being cared for by an AMAZING HUMAN who is a citizen and not a pet owner due to allergies.   They wish  to participate in hius rehoming and have taken super care of him!

About Ozark Haven Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are small group of individuals in Southern Missouri dedicated to the rehabilitation of homeless animals. We help all creatures, promote kindness to animals, respect for the earth and hope to launch a campaign in the next rescue year to combat the pet overpopulation problem in Southern Missouri.
The attitude towards animals here is not a good one; they are viewed and treated, mostly, as chattel. When they are no longer cute, or useful, they are dumped, shot, or just let go. We serve poor, rural communities, whose people do not have the money to pay for their own medical care, let alone veterinary expenses for their pets. Spaying and neutering is not the norm here at all, so we have a huge population of unwanted dogs and cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We do have an adoption process requiring an application. We do require our adoptive homes have strong and verifiable spay/neuter histories that we are able to confirm via our Application Processing team. We will not tolerate or entertain unaltered pets. We are available to answer any questions at all by way of email at Kristinawak@yahoo.com or Ozarksummer@yahoo.com

More criteria for adoption can be viewed at www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO401.html and an online submission application for adoption can be found at this url; http://members.petfinder.org/~MO207/app.htm
