Dakota has been with RCHS since August. She is thought to be around 7 years old and she is about 45 lbs. She's a pretty calm girl and is very affectionate. She has a very unique looking coat and we aren't sure what breeds she is, but our best guess is cattle dog mixed with rottweiler. Dakota absolutely LOVES all new people, including kids. She is fine with all other dogs. She loves to play once she’s adjusted in her new home, but it took her several months before she felt herself in her foster mom’s home. She also gets along with cats just fine.
Dakota loves going on walks and rides wonderfully in the car. She’s also really great at bath time. She is house trained but did have a couple accidents in her foster home when she first arrived. She is also kennel trained but will bark if her housemates are barking. She is a very healthy girl but will need a dental cleaning in the not too distant future. She is also very obedient and will come when called and will get off the furniture if told to do so. She mostly sleeps on her dog beds next to her human’s bed or next to the couch, but she also loves to cuddle on the couch if allowed.
She is a beautiful, friendly girl who would love to find her forever home before the holidays.
