Jobe's Story...
Looking for fun? Little Jobe is one of the happiest, funniest dogs we have at the rescue. He plays with everyone and will keep you laughing. Surprisingly, he does well in a crate and is very calm in the house but he does LOVE to play. Jobe was originally found behind a shelter completely starved and chewed up from other dogs. We suspect he may have been a bait dog. But Jobe has put that all behind him and is just the happiest guy you will ever meet. Please adopt this precious boy. 10 lbs, 2 - 3 years old and full of love. Apply at www.polkadogz.org Adoption fee: $250 which helps with the major medical bills of all the dogs in the rescue. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jobe, a Oakland Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
