Mia's Story...
Mia is the sweetest, gentlest dog you could ask for. She is low key, submissive and just wants someone to love. Her owner got too sick to care for her and now she is in our rescue and totally lost without a family to love. Mia would do best in a calm home. She gets along with everyone but prefers a low key atmosphere where she can just relax. Adopt mia! 2 years old, 8-10 lbs of pure love. Hypoallergenic (no shedding). APPLY AT WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG Adoption fee: $450 which goes to help with the major medical bills of all the dogs in our rescue. Thank you for caring about the greater good! We only adopt in the state of Florida. Mia is pee pad trained

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Oakland Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
