Shadow's Story...
Sweet sweet Shadow. This wonderful girl came to The Rescue Project from a neglectful situation. She has settled into and adjusted well to her foster home and the best word to describe her is just sweet. She gets along well with the other dog in the home with a proper introduction. She likes to play and also likes to follow foster mom everywhere she goes. Shadow is potty trained and crate trained. She does need to be crated when her family is away as she does like to investigate the trash when left unattended. Shadow may not have always had food at all times in her previous home so we can't blame her. Whoever has Shadow join their home will be getting a total gem. She is estimated to be 3.5 years in age and weighs just under 50lbs.

Contact us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Shadow. Her adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip, and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Overland Park Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
