My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~Leia (like Princess Leia)~
~Breed? Your guess is as good as ours. Microchip information has her listed as a Collie mix. Hmmm!
~7 year old Spayed Female
~UTD on shots
~Microchipped
~House trained, unknown with a Crate, Leash trained
~Good with older kids; smaller ones seem to make her nervous. Great with other dogs. Unknown how she is with cats.
~She is HW+ and now on Heart Guard but HW treatment has not started yet.
~Very patient and respectful. Will not take food from you, not even an 18mo old carrying around a snack in her hand. You have to make her take a treat or put it in her bowl. Hardly ever barks and knows basic commands.
~ReHoming Adoption Fee: $60.00
Reason for ReHoming: She had been a stray over in the Dowdy Ferry area (in her case, Bonnieview & I20). The founder works in the area and stopped to feed her one day after seeing her several times. When the founder went to get back in her vehicle, Leia decided to follow. She went back to the gas station where she has been seen and asked about her. She had been wandering there for 3-4 months. When the founder took her to our vet, there was a microchip discovered but the man it is registered to said he gave her away long ago and did not want her back. The name for her on the chip is Leia (which she responds to) and the chip says she is 7 but our vet felt she is a few years younger, based on her teeth. There is no scar to show she is spayed, however our vet feels strongly that she is.
