Meet the sweetheart, Sunny! We think Sunny is a Beagle/Lab mix. She is about 4 years old. Her personality is as glowing as her name. Sunny was saved from a high kill shelter and it is clear she has been neglected and is way too skinny. She is working hard with her foster mom to learn the manners of being an inside dog now. They are working on house training and crate training. We are teaching her by taking her outside right after eating. She sleeps in the bed with her foster mom at night and seems to love that. She's soooo sweet and loves to cuddle. She is still very timid, but learning that she is safe from harm now. She is very hungry and very food motivated, which is a result of the malnutrition in her past. Her foster mom feeds her three times a day with treats throughout the day to try and fatten her up. She loves treats but you have to watch your fingers because she takes them right away – she just needs a little help understanding that she will have food forever now and some patience. Sunny is arriving to her foster home in MD on 9/11 and we will soon update more. She is sure to make someone very happy! She is spayed and up to date on shots. Any approved adopter should be willing to travel to MD to meet Sunny.
