My story

How adorable is this little boy???? This is Keegan. He is approx 8 months old and 20 lbs as of 9/1/16. He will probably be at least 25 to 30 lbs when fully grown. He looks like a Tibetan Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix and is just a beautiful dog. He is very sweet. He has a really nice disposition, loves to run and play with the other dogs and will be your new best friend. He is pretty well leash and house trained, but not perfect and could do with some more training by his new owner. His is just a fun and very happy little boy.


The total adoption donation of $575 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
