Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snuggly, sensitive Odie wants to fill your couch, your lap and your life with lots of love! Odie enjoys leash walks, relaxing in the backyard on a sunny afternoon and rolling in the snow on a New England winter’s day. He’s also a fan of TV time, but watching the neighborhood out the window might be his favorite program (he’s a bit nosy).
On Saturday mornings, he loves training at Pits and Pals C.L.A.S.S. with his dedicated Handsome Dan’s volunteers. Thanks to his friend Ashley, Odie has learned to use his relaxation mat to chill out when something makes him nervous. He has excellent house manners; he is totally housebroken and likes to play with his treat-dispensing maze ball during his downtime (he's not a fan of squeakers!)
Because Odie spent his formative time in a shelter setting, he is not as comfortable with some of the things we take for granted including vacuums, lawnmowers and barking dogs. Due to the loud, excitable nature of children and their toys, Odie would do best in a home with older kids. Odie also prefers to be the only pet in the home since he is unsure of other animals.
Odie and his adopter will receive free transition training to ensure Odie and his new family are set for success! You can email his Enrichment Specialist, Kelly, at kellyapayton@gmail.com with any questions or apply at www.handsomedansrescue.org/adoption-application/
