Nipper's Story...
August 26 at 10:14am ·

"Nipper" is a handsome adult male Texel Guinea Pig who was surrendered to the HSOV by his owner on August 16, 2016. "Nipper" has a very unique beige curly-haired coat and a darling face with pink/red eyes. This little man is quite a conversationalist and loves to 'talk' :) "Nipper" is still working on his social skills and is making his temporary home in the lobby of our shelter. These updated photos were taken on August 25, 2016 and "Nipper" had a lot to talk about :) :) We love his cute little 'whistles' <3

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nipper, a Marietta Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
