My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.

Louie is a special little guy we pulled from the Guilford County shelter. He was a sickly mess when we got him but we brought him into rescue because his wonderful personality shone so brightly we could not resist making sure he got all the care he needed and the great new home he deserved.

Several weeks later, he is looking so handsome and feeling fit and healthy. He was excellent with all the vet care we had to give him, patient and never putting up a fuss. He still has one little scab on his nose that is almost healed and his nose will be pink again when it is gone.

Louie is about 3 years old and must have been in a good home earlier in his life since he seems very familiar with how to be a beloved family pet in a home setting.

He has an incredible personality! He is sociable and loves to make new people friends. He has a mellow, happy go lucky air about him and just seems to take everything in stride.

He can be momentarily uncertain every now and then in brand new situations, but is not at all a fearful cat. Give him a minute and he will be fine. He has a graceful confidence and acclimates extremely quickly for a kitty.

When we are cleaning his kitty room, he is so happy for company he will crawl up on our shoulders just to be close. He loves to receive and give affection and never seems to get tired of it. We have never seen him act moody or impatient.

He hops up on your lap with confidence and curls up for a good snuggle. He will be a very loving companion to his new family.

We have not tested him with other cats in the same space, but he is completely unbothered when he sees the other cats behind their enclosure doors. Of course, he would have fun being an only cat and getting all of the people attention. He is self assured and does not need a kitty friend, just plenty of people companionship, but might be ok in a two cat home.

Adoption donation $40 for this totally charming, 9 pound 3 year old.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
