Missy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, and good with dogs.

Missy's Story...
Missy recently arrived from California with her sister, Milly. A 1 year old female Chihuahua mix, Missy is spayed and microchipped and ready for a family. She appears to be good with other dogs, but the rest of her history is unknown. Missy is currently in a foster home, where she is working on behavioral rehabilitation. She is doing very well and is available for meet-and-greets, so please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944. Foster mom Kathi says that Missy does well with her cat and is house- and kennel-trained. She is learning to walk well on a leash and now enjoys being handled
If you want to apply for Missy, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Meridian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
