I am so excited! I was recently rescued, and I am in a foster home where I am getting lots of love and attention. My name is Laddie, and I am a female, rough coat Border Collie mix. And yes, I know, Laddie is usually a boy’s name (like Laddie Boy), but you can change it when you adopt me. Everyone tells me I am a good-looking girl and, while I don’t like to brag, I am beginning to believe them.
I am house trained, and I am a really good girl inside the home. I’m about 5 years old, I weigh about 50 pounds and I am a very calm and friendly. My foster mom is working with me on leash training...I pull a little, but I am improving—I didn’t know what a leash was! And my foster mom says I am "super sweet and docile." I haven’t been around other dogs yet, except at the vets office...but I think I will do well. Cats? Probably not due to my breed.
I am really looking forward to finding my new home, but first I have to go through a treatment for my heart worms. That will take a 2-3 months, and then I will be as good as new, and I can go to my new home. But I don’t want to wait that long if you don’t. If you think I’m a good match for your family, you can meet me and pre-adopt me before my treatment is complete. It sure would be nice to know I have a family waiting just for me. You can fill out an adoption application at the web address below so we can get together.
