Notes from Carmen Miranda's Foster Home:

Carmen Miranda is one special girl, and she definitely knows it!  This hot little mama likes playing hard to get, and tends to start out shy when meeting new people. The best part of fostering little Carmen has been seeing her transform from a shy little chihuahua girl to the bright, shining superstar that really she is.  She will be happiest meeting people who are ready and able to take the time to get past her coy attitude to the fun, fiery bundle underneath.

To those in the know, Carmen Miranda has a spring in her step, and really lives up to her fiery name.  She likes going out on walks or even on shorter runs (for an itty bitty dog, this mama can stretch her legs!)  After an active play date, she loves for her people to shower her with attention like the little movie star that she is.  Her high energy moments are nicely balanced with a love for her cuddling on your lap, taking naps together, padding after you from room to room throughout the day, and just generally loving you up.  Carmen’s bright eyes and wagging tail will never fail to greet you at the door, and all she asks in return is your undying love and devotion.  Is that so much to ask for?  She’s a real looker from the splash of white on her nose to her long, dainty dancer’s legs.  She’s a super special pup that’s quickly danced her way into our hearts.  Please hurry up and meet her before we can’t let her go!

Carmen Miranda needs a home with a fenced yard.

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.

About People United for Pets (PUP)

About Our Rescue Group...

People United for Pets (PUP) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization specializing in small and toy breed dog rescue. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small purebred or mixed breed dogs, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and nationally.

PUP was established in May, 2006 and since that time has placed an ever increasing number of dogs into their forever homes!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have no central facility. Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.
