Facts about Marco

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Hound (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: White - With Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Marco had a pretty tough start in life. You can see in one of the photos that he was left at the gates of a shelter down in St Croix in a pail along with his littermates and came to be known as the "Bucket Pups". That may explain his feisty personality and "take no prisoners" temperament. By that I mean he bites my nose when I go to kiss him and can get a little growly when restrained. I would prefer to see him go to an experienced adopter who will know how to handle any issues that may arise during his next few formative months. He has already settled down nicely since he arrived and that training needs to continue to avoid hime developing into a demon later in life.

Marco has leaned to play nicely with the other fosters. He likes snuggling up to his big "sister", Vera because I think he feels safe (she is my alpha gal). He is 2-3 months old and I am GUESSING that he will be a medium sized dog fully grown. Marco had his first 2 puppy shots and is already neutered. He is now microchipped and is being dewormed. NO, he is not housebroken but he is learning the fine art of crate training (so far so good with no messes in there).

If interested, please submit an online application located at www.allstar.petfinder.com. We don't expect this cutie who has a big heart on the outside in his fur to last so get your app in soon if interested. If we get in multiple GOOD potential adopters then we go with the app that came in the earliest so don't delay. WE are looking for a place for this guy where someone is home most of the day and that is within 50 miles of Linden, NJ.

About All Star Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

All Star Pet Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, no-kill organization formed in April 2006. We don’t have a facility & are comprised solely of foster homes for homeless pets. Our mission is to network with other shelters & rescue groups to take in animals needing a new start. We don’t discriminate based on breed, age or health status & only place the animals in loving & responsible homes. We also work to educate the public about the benefit of spaying or neutering their animals & the usefulness of micro-chipping.

We receive no public funding & count on animal lovers to help provide the medical care & supplies necessary for the health, safety & comfort of our rescues. Monetary donations are always needed & greatly appreciated. It’s because of monies donated that we’re able to continue our work for the animals. We’re a recognized 501c3 organization so your donations are tax deductible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptable pups are all in foster care so arrangements need to be made to meet them. Please contact us at allstarpets@comcast.net or better yet, submit an online application located at www.allstar.petfinder.com. We will be in touch to make an appointment to bring the pet to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

We do have an adoption fee which goes right back to the animals for food, medical treatment, etc. Yo do have to sign a contract. We also do have certain requirements when placing our animals, some are general & some can be based on the situation.
