Merida is an absolutely wonderful rottie mix looking for a family to love. We found this sweet girl at a nearby shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. As we passed by her kennel at the shelter she pressed her body up through the front gate. She tried to reach her paw out to us and looked at us with those soulful eyes pleading to get out. We could not resist and she came to Cedar Farm to find a home. What a fabulous dog, Merida is! We just can not say enough great things about her. If you are looking for a calm and affectionate girl to make your home complete then please come to Mocksville and meet Merida. She is sure to charm you as she has charmed us. Merida loves to sit right next to you. She is a leaner and a hugger, very obedient and tender-hearted. Her coat is very soft. Merida is well-mannered on leash and has wonderful house manners. She is crate-trained. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys and we think would enjoy having some children to play with in the back yard. She gets along great with other dogs and does wonderfully with our cats. One of our cats likes to play with her but she has learned that not all cats are as friendly. She understands their signals and should do very well in a home with cats. She loves all people and eagerly makes new friends. Merida is 9 months old and weighs 49 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots. She has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks.
