Fin Fenrir's Story...
Human Child In - Dog Out!
Finn was born about August 23, 2009 and weighs about 66 lbs. She is just stunning and looks great in stripes! She left here as a drop dead, gorgeous, puppy that a young couple just had to have and came back when the first child was a toddler. Finn knows some tricks, she is very smart. She was an only dog and did well by herself. There was a cat and we are told she would snuggle with it, but then we are told she has a prey drive for small creatures on walks. She was very good with dogs, including small dogs. The ADORES snuggling with her humans and will give kisses. She loves to go for walks, but true to the Mastiff part of her she doesn't care to go for long walks, especially in the heat of summer. She does like to romp and play and you will never be able to out race her! She knows 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', 'paw', 'other paw', 'high five', and 'perch' (on your arm), 'dolphin' (hold your hand out and she'll bop it with her nose), 'play dead', 'roll over' (but mostly just a half roll), 'leave it', 'speak' (open and close your thumb and forefinger), 'hugs' (only time she is allowed to jump on humans), 'around' (useful if she goes behind you on a walk to bring her to the desired side), 'fix' (she will lift her paw if the leash gets between her legs) and she will sit for her food and to have her leash put on. They did a beautiful job with this amazing dog and I'm sure they'll raise a wonderful human family. Update from her foster mom: First of all, I have to say, I have no idea WHY no one scooped up this angel yet!? She is just the perfect dog, in my opinion. Sweet as can be with everyone she meets. She gets along extremely well with my three other dogs. She is perfectly house trained, not even one accident in my house. And as her write-up already says, VERY well trained in everything, including tricks I had never heard of. It is almost like she understands English, she listens so well. She is all about her people, she tries her best to please you, and will follow you wherever you go including over a 6' stockade fence. Plus, she is drop dead gorgeous with her brindle. We truly love having her!! Amy The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
