My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's Gilmer, a precious pooch who has completely stolen all of our hearts. This adorable dog is so full of life and love we just could not bear to leave him at the shelter. We had noticed that something was wrong with his hindquarters and had assumed that he had been hit by a car or had some other kind of accident. Our vet examined him and did xrays when we took him in for his neuter and it appears that Gilmer's defect is one he has had from birth. There was no evidence of a broken or fractured bone or one having healed from a past injury. This birth defect does not stop little Gilmer one bit. He eagerly crawls in your lap for hugs and pets and loves to take walks. He does great on leash. We pretty much let him forge his own path but he minds very well and is really easy to walk. Gilmer has wonderful house manners. He is crate trained and housebroken. He loves to be with people and is very friendly. He grew up with other dogs and would enjoy having at least one other dog in his new home to keep him company. Or maybe a cat friend or two...he is fabulous with our cats. They love him! We hope to find a special home for this special boy. If you think yours could be the one please complete our adoption application form on line at our website www.cedarfarmrescue.com . After you have submitted the form please call Tony at 336.251.8877 with any questions about Gilmer or our adoption process. It is best to call back instead of leaving a message. Gilmer is 3 years old and weighs 22 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. He has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. Thank you! 19413
