My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING for PICASSO. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact Janelle at 360-440-5312 or herteljanelle@yahoo.com.

BIO:

Handsome little Picasso is a 5 year old, 15 lb, smooth Tri-colored Piebald (Black, tan and white) male Dachshund looking for a loving forever family of his very own. Know any artists looking for a Doxie muse? Or someone to play with? He loves playing fetch with his ball or other toys, he could do that for hours inside or outside. He is energetic, but likes to cuddle if he gets tired enough. When he plays by himself (which isn’t that often, because usually he is begging for attention) he sometimes rolls onto his back and hold his toys in his paws – almost like an otter floating with a clam - it is quite adorable. He loves to “dig” for things – including pulling blankets over his own toys so he can dig and bite around for his toy.

Please note that this is a Courtesy Listing for a doxie that is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc, ODR-Inc cannot make any guarantees or claims about this doxie...we are just helping to network him and help them find his forever family. For information, please contact Janelle at 360-440-5312 or herteljanelle@yahoo.com directly.

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
