Lily's Story...
Lily is an eleven year old black female cat. Lily’s story is a heart-wrenching one: her pet parent had her since Lily was an eight week old kitten, but Life sometimes can throw us all a very difficult curve ball. Lily’s owner became ill, and was forced to move to assisted living. That Lily was well taken care of and doted on was most obvious. Unfortunately family members could not assist and take Lily. It’s been a difficult transition for Lily, and she is finally eating and perking up, but you can see the pain in her incredibly intense and beautiful green eyes. Lily is very self-sufficient and does not require constant attention, but if you have room in your heart and home for a very lonesome and displaced girl, come meet Lily. Better yet, take her home with you and watch what love can do…

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Warwick Colorpoint Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Colorpoint Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Colorpoint Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Colorpoint Shorthair breeders who help with Colorpoint Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
