Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diesel: A lab, Shepard mix, a year and a half old. He’s about 60 lbs. He’s a great dog, needs lots of attention. He has separation anxiety. Very good with people and kids and other dogs. Very playful. House trained. He does not like to be caged and alone. He would respond well with a doggy door with fenced in yard. Maybe with another dog his age would be great and someone who’s home almost all day. Diesel would make someone great company. and security on those long walks we all should be taking .
ARF'N primarily adopts only to residents in the counties surrounding Hernando County in central Florida or within a 60-90 min. drive from the Brooksville/Spring Hill areas. The reason for this is that we personally conduct home visits for each of our rescued pets to ensure they are getting a safe home.
The application can be found here: http://www.arfn.org/adoption-application/
Email questions to: info@arfn.org. We do not have a phone number to reach us.
Our adoption fees for dogs range between $150 and $250. All of our pets come completely vetted (spay/neuter, vaccinations, heart worm tested, on heart worm prevention, and a microchip).
ARF'N is a rescue operated by volunteers with full-time professional jobs during the day. We can't always get back to you immediately. Most of our rescue work happens in the evenings and on the weekends. It can typically take up to two weeks to go from application to adoption. More time is required for pets with multiple applications. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. We find the best match between pet and adopter. Please be patient with us through this process.
