Shasta's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shasta's Story...
Shasta is a 7 year old female black & white cat who is in need of a new home.

While Shasta is not really a dog lover, she does get along with humans & other cats. She is currently living with her buddy Rascal & is sorta hoping they can be adopted together. You know, so Rascal can help her settle in more easily. Shasta is a little on the shy side and will take a few days to warm up. She doesn’t care for being carried around, but she loves to be petted & brushed.

Shasta is looking for a quiet home with adults or maybe older kids. In return you will get a friendly, sometimes talkative cat with a heart of gold.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shasta, a Aurora Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aurora, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aurora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aurora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aurora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aurora paves the way for another one to be saved.
